As many, many, many people have noticed, The Hollywood Reporter (among others) ran a story yesterday about the comic series Lazarus being optioned for development as a television series.
Lazarus is a dystopian science fiction series created by my friend and frequent collaborator, Greg Rucka, and artist Michael Lark.
I'm being asked a fair amount of questions about it, because I work on the comic series, too, as a sort of live-in graphic designer and occasional story sounding board.
So, to that end, here's the Lazarus Television Show FAQ From Eric's Perspective:
Q: What's going on with the television show?
A: Here's the Hollywood Reporter article. Read that, and you'll know everything I know.
Q: Who's going to play Forever/Malcolm/Jacob Hock/Anyone else in the comic series?
A: I have no idea.
Q: What network will the television show air on?
A: I have no idea.
Q: You guys are all super-rich with Hollywood moneys now, huh?
A: Yes. I am answering these questions from my private villa/fortress/undersea volcano base, and will be using the proceeds from the Lazarus teevee show to finally build the orbital death ray I've been saving up for. Moo hoo ha ha.
All kidding aside, the THR article contains all the info I know. I'm a work-for-hire guy on the series, and am not involved in the deal-making side of things at all, but I do think this is a really great development.
Congratulations to Team Lazarus!
And now, I have to finish my part for Lazarus #16.
